1. NIFTe holds monthly gatherings for international students and their families to meet and discuss any issues and questions they may have. We also aim to invite speakers, artists or experts to give special lectures or workshops on topics to accomplish NIFTe's mission by giving attendees the appropriate knowledge, experience or skills. Gatherings will be held in English/Japanese and all ages are welcome to attend (including children).

2. We are working in partnership with local nurseries and schools which accept pupils from international residents. We offer help in translating information produced by schools ranging from the enrollment booklet, school orientation, items to purchase for pupils etc. NIFTe also introduces to parents local clinics who offer medical care in English.

3. NIFTe will hold an orientation for non-Japanese families new to Nagasaki to explain general information about living in Nagasaki city (May and September).

4.Pregnancy and birth in different cultures, from cultural values and religious issues to the Japanese medical system. The situation is likely to cause confusion and anxiety.
