Nagasaki International Family Trees & Education
Aim
Nagasaki International Family Trees & Education (NIFTe) was established
in November 2019 for Japanese and non-Japanese residents living in Nagasaki City.
Our aim is to create a network and provide a platform for Japanese and non-Japanese people in Nagasaki to connect with each other through our monthly gatherings. NIFTe recognises the daily challenges that international families may face to successfully integrate into Japanese life at school, or understand the Japanese work and health care systems etc. In addition, NIFTe also acknowledges the anxiety and questions that Japanese staff in these areas have on how to support non-Japanese people. Therefore, we hope that NIFTe will become a bridge for all who are seeking support in these areas.
